When sending a text marketing campaign with Age Texting, you have the option to send it immediately or schedule it to go out in the future. You must schedule at least one hour ahead. If sending multiple campaigns—perhaps to different groups—schedule at least 10 minutes apart to prevent message backlog.
On the Create A Group Message page, select "Send Now" or "Schedule" if you would like to send your text campaign in the future.
When you select "Schedule", you'll see the option to choose date and time.
Step 2: Select the Campaign Type. (Standard is SMS: text only.)
Step 3: Give your campaign a name.
Subscribers will not see your campaign name. This is only for your reference to easily view the campaign in message history and in campaign reporting.
Step 4: Select your sending code. Use your 10-digit long code (10 DLC) that is unique to your business.
Step 5: Select Message Template and scroll down to select the template of your choice. (Optional)
You must first create at least one message template or you will not view any templates on the campaign creation page.
If you select a text template, it will auto fill as your message.
Step 6: Type your message. If message exceeds 160 characters, you'll need to select "2-credit" which allows up to 304 characters.
If you want to include a link in your text message, you can copy the long URL in the "Add URL" blank, then check the box next to "Shorten Url and Insert in Message". Shortening the link saves characters and allows you to track the number of clicks.
Step 7: Select "Groups" or "Queries" button so you can select the contacts you want to send the text campaign to.
