How to Send a Group MMS

Sending attachments in your text campaigns can boost engagement and allows you to feature your products. Here we will show you the basics on how to send an MMS.

Step 1: Select "Send Now" or Schedule

Step 2: Select the Campaign Type. (Select "MMS" at the bottom of the dropdown menu.)

Step 3: Give your campaign a name.

Step 4: Select your sending code. Use your 10-digit long code (10 DLC) that is unique to your business.

Step 5: Click on the "MMS Image Upload" or "MMS Media Upload" box and select the file from your desktop that you wish to send.

Step 6: Type your message. You can include emojis in the text portion of your MMS message. You have up to 5,000 characters to work with.

Step 7: Select "Groups" or "Queries" you want to send the text campaign to.

Step 8: Review Message—Send preview message or send now/ schedule campaign.

Step 1: Select "Send Now" or Schedule

When sending a text marketing campaign with Age Texting, you have the option to send it immediately or schedule it to go out in the future. You must schedule at least one hour ahead. If sending multiple campaigns—perhaps to different groups—schedule at least 10 minutes apart to prevent message backlog.

On the Create A Group Message page, select "Send Now" or "Schedule" if you would like to send your text campaign in the future.

Step 5: Click on the "MMS Image Upload" or "MMS Media Upload" box and select the file from your desktop that you wish to send.

When selecting an image attachment, you can upload a JPEG, PNG, or animated GIF file. Note that attachments must be smaller than 1 MB.

When selecting a media attachment, you can upload a video file (MP4 or MOV), audio (MP3), or PDF.

MP4 files are more compressed so if you are sending a video and have only a MOV file, you may want to convert it to an MP4. You can convert a MOV to an MP4 using this free online video converter tool.

Like images, your media file must be smaller than 1 MB.

See the option to preview video being attached to an MMS campaign.

If you are attaching a video, you can PREVIEW the video. When you click the "PREVIEW" button, you will see a small window with the video embedded. Play the video to ensure you are happy with the quality and to confirm it is the correct video.

Click on the 3 dots to view several options:

  1. Download the video

  2. Adjust playback speed

  3. View Picture in Picture

Playback speed controller—

Our platform's video playback speed controller allows you to select a speed anywhere between 0.25 times and 2 times the normal speed. With "1" being normal speed, "0.25" is equal to a quarter of the original speed (slowing down playback), and "2" is twice as fast as normal speed. The default is "1" (normal speed).
